Sleeping Beauty Auditions

Join Spotlight as it brings the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty to a new generation of families.

It’s Princess Aurora’s birthday and the kingdom must find a way to save her from the spell of the evil sorceress Maleficent! Three fairy friends vow to hide the princess from the cursed sorceress, but will their plan work? Come find out in this classic fairytale featuring memorable songs and lovable characters.

All students age 4-9 will be cast. The audition will consist of singing a solo and following the director’s instructions. The solo can be as simple as Jingle Bells. Monologues will not be accepted for this children’s show.

Auditions are Saturday, September 12, 10:45am

Rehearsals: Saturdays 11:45am (Optional 2nd cast 10:45am)

Performances: January 22-24 (Optional 2nd cast January 29-31)

Age waivers to older students will be granted.  Students in the designated age range will be cast first. Please ask for age waivers early and know that you may not be cast in the show if all the roles are filled by the designated age range students.

COVID-19 Rules:
Do not enter the building if you are sick.

Cloth face coverings must be worn when entering the building, moving around the facility, or wherever social distancing cannot be maintained.

Please limit the number of people waiting in the lobby by only having one parent/guardian entering with a student during the audition.

Please practice good hygiene by washing your hands frequently.

If you are afraid or have a medical vulnerability we recommend waiting until COVID is over before participating at Spotlight.
