The Little Mermaid JR. Auditions May 8th – 12:00 pm
Students Age 4-11
All Students age 4-11 will be cast.
We picked The Little Mermaid JR. for our summer production for our littlest actors. This show offers several roles suitable for a range of young actors and is very active and fun. This show will have an expanded age range to better suit our summer attendance and to help with this being about twice the length and size of a typical 30-45 minute “Kids” musical. We hope to have two entire casts, we call them Blue and Purple. Come join the fun and become part of the Spotlight family.
Summer vacations are excusable absences and will not be held against students auditioning, so long as the dates the student will be missing are communicated early.
Students will be expected to sing a song (Happy Birthday is fine) and follow instructions (Act like an animal, Show us a sad face, Etc.) Optional monologues will be accepted after the regular audition process.
In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking.
Age waivers to older students may be granted. Students in the designated age range will be cast first. Please ask for age waivers early and know that you may not be cast in the show if all the roles are filled by the designated age range students.
Tuition – Spotlight tuition is $85 per month before discounts or financial aid. This show will overlap our summer break so it will only be billed for 4 months (16 weeks) of the 20-week schedule.
