Spotlight Acting School is excited to announce auditions for Once Upon a Mattress! We are seeking talented performers, ages 14-18, to join this hilarious and enchanting retelling of The Princess and the Pea. Directed by the same team as Into the Woods, this production offers a great opportunity for young actors to shine in a lively and comedic musical.

Performance Dates:

• March 21-23
• March 28-30

Rehearsal Schedule:

Rehearsals will be held on Saturdays, with additional rehearsals closer to performance week.
Tuition:
$105 per month before discounts and financial assistance. No student is turned away due to lack of funds; financial assistance is available—meet with Miss Letha at the audition.
Casting Policy:
Every student who auditions is guaranteed a role in the production.
Audition Details:
Prepare a song of your choice—there is no time limit, and it can be something simple like “Happy Birthday” or a favorite musical theater song. (Radio songs are not recommended.)

Once Upon a Mattress is a funny and fresh retelling of the classic fairy tale, The Princess and the Pea. The kingdom is in turmoil because no one can find a princess worthy of marrying the prince. Queen Aggravain has set impossible tests for potential brides, but when the unconventional Princess Winnifred arrives, everything changes. Filled with catchy songs and comedic moments, this show is a fantastic opportunity for young performers to showcase their talents in a fun and dynamic production.
