The Spotlight Acting School in Berea, Kentucky is excited to announce auditions for their upcoming production of “Elf the Musical JR.” on June 17 at 12:00 pm. Open to aspiring actors aged 9-14, the auditions will be held at the Spotlight Playhouse located at 214 Richmond Road, Berea, KY. No prior acting experience is required, as all students within the designated age range will be cast. The audition process will involve singing a solo of any song (even “Happy Birthday”) and learning a quick dance routine. While monologues are welcome, they are not mandatory. Age waivers may be granted for older students, but roles are not guaranteed. For more information or inquiries, contact the Spotlight Acting School at 859-661-0600, email[email protected], or visit their website athttps://spotlightactingschool.com.
Participating in “Elf the Musical JR.” at the Spotlight Acting School offers young actors a fantastic opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of musical theater. Performances are scheduled for October 20-22, with rehearsals taking place every Saturday morning from 8:30-10:00 am (and 12:00-1:30 pm if two casts are needed). The standard tuition is $85 per month, with discounts and financial aid available to ensure no student is turned away due to an inability to pay. Students are allowed to miss rehearsals for vacations or camps, as extra time will be added for summer accommodation. Joining the cast of “Elf the Musical JR.” will provide an unforgettable experience for the young actors, as they learn valuable skills, make new friends, and create cherished memories while bringing this heartwarming holiday tale to life.

Welcome to the hilariously inventive Crumpled Classics by Craig Sodaro, presented by the talented students aged 9-14 of Spotlight Acting School. Held at the Spotlight Playhouse at 214 Richmond Road, Berea, KY, this delightful comedy takes the stage on August 11th and 12th at 6:30 pm, and August 13th at 2:00 pm. Under the adept direction of Jazzlyn Threlkeld, these young thespians will breathe new life into beloved stories, from a fast-food Romeo and Juliet to a magical sword-wielding slacker named Artie. These plays-within-a-play form the first student production of Spotlight Acting School’s 20th season, kicking off a year of spectacular performances. Join us as we revel in the comedic genius of our students and celebrate two decades of extraordinary youth theatre. For tickets and more information, please visit our box office online at https://www.thespotlightplayhouse.com or call 859-756-0011.
