Spotlight Playhouse, located at 214 Richmond Road, Berea, Kentucky, is thrilled to announce auditions for the iconic “High School Musical.” Directed by the accomplished Chad Hembree, this production promises to be a vibrant and energetic rendition of the beloved musical that has captured the hearts of millions worldwide.
We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic performers aged 12 and above to bring the dynamic world of East High to life. While younger students are welcome to audition, they may primarily be considered for ensemble roles. Teens and young adults are encouraged to audition for the central roles of Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, and the rest of the Wildcats. Additionally, we’re seeking adults to portray the school staff and other pivotal characters, ensuring a well-rounded and authentic representation of high school life.
Character Opportunities:
- Teens: Troy Bolton, Gabriella Montez, Sharpay Evans, Ryan Evans, Chad Danforth, Taylor McKessie, and more.
- Adults: Ms. Darbus, Coach Bolton, and other faculty members.

- Age Recommendation: 12+ for speaking roles. Younger students can audition but are more likely to be considered for ensemble roles. Young adults may audition as teens.
